Splendid stay over two nights with welcoming friendly staff and lovely food.

So glad you’ve restarted Sunday Lunches! We’re regular visitors who enjoy the friendly atmosphere and, being devotees of Real Ale, particularly enjoy the selections on tap, with something new to try every visit! The roast was spectacular and presented in style! My only ‘criticism’, as such, is that not everyone is a fan of red-wine gravy. Maybe a choice? Great quality produce and great value! Even had to make room for the delicious homemade deserts! Thanks!

It was absolutely amazing. The staff were so friendly and down to earth. The rooms were homely and very comfortable. The location is just perfect, quiet and a little hidden.
The food is super yummy, home cooked and the fact that most products and produce are sourced locally makes it even better.
We really enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone that wants to just get away in a rural location for some peace and quiet and good home cooked food.

We visited for our 47th anniversary, this hotel gave my wife Elaine and I a weekend to remember. Everything was faultless, the ambiance was relaxed and friendly, the food was to die for especially the Cullen Skink, my fav. The room we stayed in had just been refurbished to a high standard, took our breath away when we walked in. Angie & James and all the staff were all very friendly, welcoming and eager to please, nothing was any trouble. All in all we loved every second of our stay, and were sad to leave.
WE WILL RETURN.

AMAZING! Great food, comfy rooms and the best walking we've done for ages. Very picturesque village. Great variety of real ales as well. All of which can be enjoyed in the garden, the bar or the restaurant.

Excellent visit. Friendly hotel in beautiful surroundings. Restaurant takes care sourcing its food, cooking and presenting it. Particularly the smoked duck, and the artichoke and leek fritters with sweet chilli sauce. Looking forward to visiting again.

Visited 13.7.21. Sat in sunny garden, the menu had several vegan options which is heaven for us. The food was so delicious and our non vegan teenage boys declared the steak and fish and chips the best they’d ever had. Service was very friendly and courteous. Would highly recommend!

Had a recent enjoyable stay here. Lovely location in a lovely historical village. The staff were very pleasant and welcoming, especially with our two dogs. Nice room and the food was first class.

Just returned after 3 fabulous nights at the Trewen. An old pub so yes Angie and James have their work cut out to keep on top of the maintenance. Food from breakfast to evening meal was wonderful. Several new staff keeping Angie and James on their toes but special mention to Kim for her professionalism, friendliness and just being good at her job

We had a one night stay on New Years eve 2019, very friendly, fab room, really clean and comfortable bed, superb breakfast great choice. We will be returning with our pet dog soon as it is pet friendly for a longer stay.

We visited the Trewern Arms for the first time today, having recently moved to the area. We thoroughly enjoyed the Sunday carvery; it is obvious the meats and vegetables are locally sourced, they were delicious! Will recommend to all.

We had a really lovely stay at the Trewern Arms. The family room was very spacious and very clean. The breakfasts were really good and very well cooked. James and the team looked after us very well and we would definitely return. The Trewern Arms makes s great base to explore this beautiful area. Thank you.

Good all round service

Lovely pub in a secluded valley, good beer

Stayed and dined on more than one occasion, like 8 to 10 times, with different female friends. Could not fault their accommodation nor their wonderful food. I would give them 5 stars rating every time.

Just had two night stay for a wedding in the area. Couldn't of been more welcoming and friendly staff and comfortable and pleasant rooms, food was first class if in the area for anything again it would be top of the list to stay. Thanks to all at the Trewern Arms.
